It's not a Prius with a laser sensor on the roof, nor a Lexus... No, it's a new 2-seater vehicle, that looks like a cartoon car. Google just unveiled its new prototype, build from scratch.
The technology remains more or less the same. But inside, that car has no steering wheel, no accelerator pedal, and no brake pedal… Google says you don’t need them, because the software and the sensors do all the work.
The only comand is a button to start and stop the vehicle. On board, a screen shows the route.
This video show the new Google car in action :
Google is planning to build about a hundred prototype vehicles and to test this summer the early versions. Then, the Internet giant will run a small pilot program in California in the next couple of years.
